How to control the animation laser light

The control modes of animation laser lights can be roughly divided into the following categories:

Laser light control software

Through various animation laser light control software installed on the computer, the analog signal is output to the laser light to control the color of the laser light and the scanning of the galvanometer. Through the laser software, various text, animation beams and other effects can be output in real time.

There are certain requirements for animated laser lights controlled with laser software:

First, you need to have control software to control the animation laser light.

Then there must be a DA conversion interface, which is generally matched when purchasing software.

The animation laser light using this control mode must have an ILDA interface, which is what we usually call DB25 or a print port. Otherwise, even with the laser control software, nothing can be done.

Voice control mode

The sound or music rhythm in the environment is read by the microphone and converted into the intensity of the electrical signal, and the single-chip microcomputer triggers the internal program of the single-chip microcomputer by judging the strength of the electrical signal to control the animation laser light.

Self-propelled mode

Similar to the voice control mode, except that it does not need to read the microphone signal, the microcontroller directly calls the internal program to realize the operation of the beam or animation laser effect.

SD card mode

The single-chip microcomputer independently determines which segment of the SD card needs to be read by the host through the voice control, self-propelled or DMX trigger mode. However, the SD card control for animation laser lights is not yet mature. The main reasons are that there is no supporting software, the output speed cannot meet the requirements, and the timing is inaccurate. 

Therefore, there are still relatively few products on the market, and a few manufacturers mainly use this as a selling point, which is not very practical. Usually we only use it for advertising purposes or outdoor landmark laser lights, water curtain laser lights and other environments that require offline playback control.

DMX control

Various graphics, beams and other effects output by the animation laser light can be controlled through the DMX-512 standard lighting control signal. And can control the graphics size, color rollover, movement and other effects in real time through DMX-512 signal. The advantage is that it is more convenient, but the disadvantage is that the content is fixed, and cannot be changed at will like software, and the output speed is low, so it can only do some very simple effects.
